Picture of Imke waving good-bye at the departure gateAnd then our holiday was over: After two weeks in Scotland with visits to the highlands and islands, Imke's plane for the flight back to Germany was waiting. We waved good-bye as she went to the gate to board the plane. (pictures left and right). For me it was back on the road for the long drive from Glasgow to Swindon. say good-bye to Scotland... When I arrived home I had clocked up 1995 miles since leaving two weeks earlier. But every mile was worth the effort, we've had a great holiday. I'll be back in 2002.
