Driving from Southern England to Scotland on Good Friday was likely to take some time, and I wasn't to be disappointed: The first traffic congestion approaching Spaghetti Junction in Birmingham, more congestion later in the Preston and Blackpool area.

Picture of the Victorian House Hotel in GlasgowAfter a longer drive than I hoped for I finally arrived in Glasgow early in the evening. I checked in at the Victorian House Hotel in Renfrew Street and then went for a walk in Glasgow town centre. I had hoped for a nice view of Glasgow City Chambers in the warm evening sun, unfortunately it was covered with scaffolding. So I watched people playing football on George Square before dinner.
