Picture of a German sausage booth at the Christmas marketPicture of Olaf working at the sausage boothAfter three days mainly spent outdoors it was time to prepare for the long drive back to Swindon. I decided to visit the German Christmas Market on St Enoch Square again as well as go shopping in Sauchiehall and Buchanan Street.

One of my stops was the German Sausage stand where Olaf from Hamburg (where he recommends visiting the Hamburger Dom and FC St Pauli) was selling Germany Bratwurst, Currywurst and the like. He's a regular visitor and we had already met the previous year. I had a Bratwurst (or two, can't remember now) for lunch, very nice.

I also had a look around some of the other booths (where I bought a salami to take home with me) and drank a Glühwein (mulled wine). Then I had another look at the various shops in Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street, mainly the bookshops again. As I had done some shopping on the Thursday already my credit card wasn't hit too hard this time, but I still managed to find a few interesting books. Early in the afternoon I returned to my car and set off for the long drive back to Swindon.
