My first visit to Yosemite Valley was in spring 1993 (I was going to return in the autumn). We spent a day in the valley admiring the amazing scenery: There had been quite a lot of snow during the winter months, some of which could still be seen in higher areas. The road to Glacier Point was still closed due to snow...
Below looking into the valley from Tunnel View with El Capitan on the left and Bridalveil Fall on the right. Right a closer look at Bridalveil Fall, when you moved a bit closer you were drenched with the spray from it.

Yosemite Fall Below and left two pictures of Yosemite Fall in the centre of the valley. You can't see it in these pictures, but it actually consists of two waterfalls. Due to the melting snow all the waterfalls were very powerful, this should change a few months later when I returned for my second visit.
Unfortunately my camera broke shortly after taking these pictures, so I don't have any pictures of Vernal Fall and the hike to it.
