Something new for my Isle of Islay pages: A collection of Islay Hotel Port Ellen Panoramas, an attempt to through a series of panoramas chronicle the project to rebuild the former Islay Hotel. So far there are three panoramas, Oct 2007, Apr 2008 and Jul 2008. Hopefully more to follow over the coming months.

I'm on a roll, more new Islay things: Two new panoramas for the Islay Distillery Panoramas collection: First there's Kilchoman distillery on the west coast of Islay, second there's a view into the still house of Kilchoman distillery, Islay's farm distillery. The corresponding travelogue page should follow soon.

It took me longer than it probably should have, but I've finally got my act together again to continue the Two weeks on Islay in June 2007 travelogue: The hillwalking at Sanaigmore page is finally complete and I've also added a page about the sun breaking through over Loch Gorm after a rainy day. Just in time for the Islay Festival: I've just completed the updated and expanded 3rd edition of my Printable Islay Guide, the PDF booklet to download and print for your visit to Islay. Among other things now with a section about excursions to Jura and Colonsay.

With 25 panoramas I decided that the Islay 180° panoramas page is full and started the More Islay 180° panoramas page. The first panorama listed is the Bowmore Shore and Pier Panorama, Isle of Islay. Many more to come over the next few weeks.

Now that's much better, after the update this morning here's the latest addition to my Islay 180° panoramas collection: A panorama of a view over Bowmore and Loch Indaal in the centre of Islay. Takes in most of the villages on the western shore of Loch Indaal. Now let's see how quick I can complete the next update...

A catch up and a new addition: Already a few days ago I completed the Gruinart Reserve and Ardnave in the North West of Islay page for the Two weeks on Islay in June 2007 travelogue. Today another addition to the Islay 180° panoramas collection: Saligo Bay on the west coast of Islay. Hopefully more Christmas presents to come...

Here we go again, yet another addition to the Islay 180° panoramas collection: Machair at Ardnave Point in the north west of Islay. It's a bit big (10.5 MB), but with all the flowers I couldn't get it much smaller. Oh, and there's a rabbit. Try to find it.

Finally some good progress on the Two weeks on Islay in June 2007 travelogue: The Kilchoman Crags Walk page is finally complete and I've started the Kilchoman Sunset page. Linked to that yet another addition to the Islay 180° panoramas collection: 180° panorama of the view over Kilchoman Beach and Machir Bay at sunset on the Isle of Islay. Hopefully more progress soon.

I'm a bit embarrassed that it took so long, almost a month until I've finally made some progress. But at least I'm giving you two panoramas for the Islay 180° panoramas collection: First a panorama of Laggan Bay with the Big Strand on Islay, second panorama of a view over the Mull of Oa, Northern Ireland and the Rhinns of Islay. Both panoramas will soon also be linked to from the travelogue.
