I stayed at Mrs Bremner's B&B in Cairndow for the night, a two minute drive from Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. Very convenient after dinner at the Oyster Bar, Mrs Bremner offers a lift to/from the restaurant for her guests if possible. Quite handy if you had a sample of the locally brewed beer with your meal. The next morning I woke up to some beautiful sunshine over Loch Fyne.

After some shopping at the Loch Fyne Oysters shop I started to make my way south. There was still a lot of fog at Loch Lomond, so I continued towards the Firth of Clyde. I decided not to take the motorway and crossed the Clyde at Erskine Bridge, before taking the A77 and A76 past Kilmarnock further south.
The drive was quite nice, I briefly stopped at Drumlanrig. However, after looking at their entry and parking fees I decided to drive on. After a few hours driving I returned to Swindon, having enjoyed a very nice long weekend in Scotland. |
