After my first visit to Scotland in 2001 it was time to return. Last time I went horse trekking in the north east, this time it was the south west: Homeston Farm in Kintyre.

It was a very early start to the day, my alarm went off at 3:30am. But I had a plane to catch from Frankfurt to Birmingham and then on to Glasgow. In Glasgow I met with Sharyn, who I knew from other horse trekking holidays, and the other riders for the 3hr drive down to Kintyre. When we arrived at the farm we were shown our rooms before it was time for an excellent dinner. Soon after dinner we all went to bed after a long and exhausting day.
