Islay Hotel site in October 2007

A panorama of the building site for the former Islay Hotel in Port Ellen. This view is from late October 2007. The demolition of the old hotel had been completed in mid September. By the end of October the foundations for the new hotel had been completed and work on the walls for the basement had started. You can see the old outbuildings in the background, they will also be part of the hotel at some point in the future.

You can navigate by pointing your mouse over the panorama and moving it while pressing the mouse button. You can zoom in/out with the +/- controls just under the panorama. Some areas in the panorama are hotspots, if you move your mouse pointer over them a short explanation will show in the status bar of the panorama window.
